Hallam launches public consultation on business park

Hallam Land has announced a consultation on plans for over 700,000 sq. ft. of high-quality employment floorspace south of the Spetchley Estate, next to Junction 7 of the M5.

If approved, the site will deliver approximately 1,000 jobs, providing a wide range of career opportunities for local people.

The scheme proposes the provision of a number of logistics units and marks the first phase of Harkaway, a larger development set to include new homes, a primary school and community spaces within Wychavon Town.

The new buildings will help meet the local demand for job creation and provide a significant boost to the South Worcestershire economy. The scheme will be designed to BREEAM Excellent standards, placing it among the top 10% of non-domestic buildings for energy efficiency and overall sustainability. Hallam proposes to deliver new pathways to encourage walking, cycling and the use of public transport.

A spokesperson for Hallam Land said: “We’re excited to be bringing forward these plans, which will deliver jobs and career opportunities for local people, while boosting the South Worcestershire economy.

"We want to attract new businesses to the area and also provide space for existing businesses to grow in modern facilities that meet their needs.

"Before we submit a planning application for the site, we are keen to understand the views and priorities of local residents to help shape the final plans.”

Hallam is looking to submit a planning application at the start of 2026.

The deadline to respond to the consultation has been extended until 16 January 2026.
